Storming to the DiMera front door, Stefan yells and throws his keys in frustration. When Clyde calls, Stefan says he’s busy at the restaurant, but Clyde knows he’s at home when he should be taking care of Harris. He orders him to finish the job today. In fact, Clyde has taken care of the specifics. Even Stefan can’t screw it up.
At Ava’s apartment, Steve says they should call Wendy’s parents. Ava takes a hard pass since they have no idea where she and Tripp are. When her phone beeps, she looks at it with wide eyes. “Oh my God.”
In the beer tank, Tripp helps Wendy stretch her back. Next, they hope Ava figures out where they are from the video he was forced to record. When Wendy wonders how they’ll pass the time, Tripp says he’s taking her to dinner… in Paris.

Sloan comes home to chilling champagne and flower petals that form a heart on the bed. Eric comes out to wish her a Happy Valentine’s Day. He cleared her calendar for the day and Jude is with Marlena. He wanted to give her a proper Valentine’s Day after conking out on her and to make sure she knew how important she is to him.
Chanel comes to Paulina’s hospital room with a surprise: Lani and Eli! Lani tightly hugs her overwhelmed mother. Next, Lani embraces Abe, who marvels over the timing of her prison release. Eli smooth talks his mother-in-law, who asks about the twins — they’re with Doug and Julie. When Lani asks about Chanel’s new husband, she explains he’s out getting snacks. Paulina says her heart may be failing, but it’s full right now.

At home, Ava plays a video on her phone of Tripp reading a prepared statement, as Wendy stands behind him. Tripp explains that Ava’s being monitored, so should not talk to law enforcement about what she’s currently involved in or this video, and to do exactly as told when contacted. If she follows these instructions they can come home. If not, she’ll never see them again. Steve looks at the video for clues on where they are.
In the tank, Tripp digs into the duffle bag that Goldman left them. For their Parisian dinner, he finds a water bottle, protein bar and bag of chocolate kisses. He instructs her to close her eyes, as he verbally guides her through a lovely dinner at a café and stroll along the Seine.

When Paulina struggles to talk in the hospital, Abe sends Chanel, Eli and Lani to get some ice chips. Alone with Abe, Paulina expresses how lucky she is to have her daughters and husband there with her. He assures her, they are the lucky ones. Their family is the most thing in his life and she is the most important person.
In the lobby, Chanel tells Eli and Lani that Paulina may need a new heart. They agree to keep positive energy and get through this as a family. Chanel returns to Paulina with ice chips, while Eli and Lani check on the twins. Abe goes to get coffee, leaving Paulina to anticipate cooking a big family dinner. Chanel suggests she get better before she cooks up a storm. Eli returns, declaring if anyone’s going to be doing that, it’ll be him. It’s doing her soul so good to have him, Lani and her grandbabies there. Her heart is filled to the brim with love.

At home, Sloan tells Eric he and their son are the best thing that’s ever happened to her. She changes into red lingerie, and they passionately kiss, which leads to undressing and falling onto the bed.
Later, as they lie under the sheets, Sloan asks Eric to promise they won’t go this long again without “us” time. Eric thinks they can get his mom to watch Jude more in the future. His phone rings. Sloan pouts as Eric answers and excitedly says he’ll be there. After hanging up, he tells her Holly’s back and awake. She barely hides her disdain as she says it’s great news. Eric calls it a miracle.
In his cell on the phone, Clyde tells Stefan he’ll receive a package containing a vial and syringe. He’s to inject Harris’ IV bag with the contents of the vial. Harris will then suffer what will appear to be a fatal heart attack. Stefan assumes they’re square after that, but Clyde knows he’s smarter than that. “Just do the job and don’t screw it up.” Later, Stefan receives the package.

At the coffee station in the hospital lobby, Lani tears up, worried about Paulina. Abe knows, but they’re all trying to be positive and optimistic. While he doesn’t remember his past, he knows how lucky he is to be her father. “The best father anyone could ask for,” she says. He asks if they’re staying in Salem for a while. Lani says that’s the plan, but Eli is being considered for a new job in D.C. It’d be a great opportunity, but they both have mixed feelings about being away from Salem. Abe assures her Paulina will make it. She has to.
As Steve studies the video, Ava talks about what a good person Tripp is, which he gets from Steve. He says Tripp gets a lot from her too, like his strength. Ava doesn’t feel so strong right now. Steve vows to find Tripp and Wendy and bring them home.

In the tank, Wendy says she’s trying hard, but worries they’ll never get out of there. Tripp is positive they’ll be found. He loves her and can’t wait to take her to Paris for real. As they hug, Tripp’s optimistic expression fades.
In Paulina’s room, Eli shows off photos of Jules and Carver. When Lani and Abe return, Paulina tears up. These moments are so precious to her. Her family assures her there are many more to come. Flanking her on the bed, Chanel and Lani embrace their mother.
