In Stamos’ memoir, <em>If You Would Have Told Me</em>, he recalls that he and Moore “both look at each other, wondering what the other will say. Demi pauses to think about it. ‘I don’t know if we slept together. <p>Years before they became Peter August and Carly Spencer on <em>General Hospital</em>, the sweethearts were castmates on <em>Guiding Light</em>. “I was smitten,” he told <a href="https://michaelfairmantv.com/ghs-laura-wright-and-wes-ramsey-talk-their-love-connection-the-demands-of-daytime/2018/05/24/" target="_blank">Michael Fairman TV</a> in 2018, “but I had to keep it to myself” since she was married. They ran into each other again the weekend of the Daytime Emmys in 2017. Wright was divorced. Ramsey was still twitterpated. They’ve been together ever since. “When I use words like fate or destiny,” said in 2021, “I think of that night.”</p>

<p>Ironically, when <em>General Hospital</em> brought in Saucedo to play Juan Santiago in 1999, he wasn’t paired with his future wife’s character, Elizabeth Webber. Instead, Juan was a love interest for Liz’s gal pal, Amber Tamblyn’s Emily Quartermaine. But Cupid nonetheless found a way to take aim at Herbst and Saucedo, who married in 2001 and how have three kids. “I can’t even imagine my life without him or my children,” Herbst told <a href="https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/icymi-rebecca-herbst-20th-anniversary-interview/" target="_blank"><em>Soap Opera Digest</em></a> in 2017, “so I definitely know that I made the right decision” in joining <em>General Hospital.</em></p>

<p>It was Robert Scopio/Holly Sutton shippers’ dream come true in 1984 when their portrayers revealed that they were also involved in real life. In fact, when they admitted as much to Regis Philbin during an episode of <em>The Morning Show</em> way back then, the live studio audience went bananas. The co-stars’ romance faded a year later, when Samms left the soap to replace Pamela Sue Martin as Fallon Carrington on <em>Dynasty</em>. But the former couple remains good friends.</p>

<p>Friends for years before they became a couple, Storms and Barash wed in 2013 and welcomed a daughter into their family, but divorced three years later. “Once we got married, it was obvious that it wasn’t going to work on a romantic level,” Maxie’s portrayer said during a 2022 <a href="https://soaps.sheknows.com/general-hospital/news/627507/why-did-kirsten-storms-brandon-barash-break-up-divorce-general-hospital-days-of-our-lives/" target="_blank"><em>State of Mind</em></a>, “and I’m not gonna say that our divorce was great, because it wasn’t… But divorce is always hard.” She and her ex, who was Johnny and now plays Stefan on <em>Days of Our Lives</em>, sometimes butt heads as coparents. “But,” Storms added, “we do come back after arguments and try and make the situation better.”</p>

<p>It was <em>Another World</em> that brought these two into one another’s orbit back in the 1990s, when they were playing lovers Lorna Devon and Matthew Cory. They married in 2000 and, four years later, became <em>General Hospital</em> castmates. During her stint as her old <em>All My Children</em> character, Skye Chandler, Crane was brought in to Port Charles in 2004 as Det. Ross Duncan. Working together and living together, Christopher noted to <a href="https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/reunited-0/" target="_blank"><em>Soap Opera Digest</em></a> at the time, “maybe that wouldn’t be good for some couples, but we’re like, ‘The more, the better.'”</p>

<p>Fans of Frisco Jones and Felicia Cummings were over the moon when their portrayers tied the knot in 1993. “Being thrown together on set in a romantic way, I think it was inevitable,” <a href="https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/pictures/soap-stars-who-dated-offscreen-kelly-ripa-mark-consuelos-more/" target="_blank">Kristina said in 2016</a>. “I don’t know how you could avoid” falling for one another. Even after their 2006 divorce, the exes have remained close. “We have a deep love for one another,” Jack told <a href="https://parade.com/401172/klconniewang/jack-wagner-tells-us-all-he-really-needs/" target="_blank"><em>Parade</em></a> in 2015. “I love her to death, and I think she feels the same way. The fact that we’re not married really doesn’t change that. That’s what it is. We love each other, respect each other and have gotten past what didn’t work and now really just appreciate each other for who we are.”</p>

<p>These marrieds met in 1999 when he was playing <em>General Hospital</em> ne’er-do-well A.J. Quartermaine and she was playing Dr. Eve Lambert on sister soap <em>Port Charles</em>. They shared their first kiss after a talk-show appearance that was celebrated with “a few too many shots,” Pinson said during an episode of <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzO5b-AMXRs" target="_blank"><em>The Locher Room</em></a>. “It was kind of a drunken thing. But it worked out in the end.” Over the course of the next few years, they’d get together and break up, get together and break up. Finally, after they both wound up on <em>Days of Our Lives</em>, with him reprising his role of Frankie Brady and her coming in as a recast Billie Reed, they managed to make it work. “She understood her foibles and her woes,” Warlock teased, “and she came crawling back.”</p>

<p>Paired up on screen and off while Livingston was playing Emily Quartermaine opposite Christopher’s Nikolas Cassadine in the 2000s, the actress <a href="https://soaps.sheknows.com/general-hospital/news/697787/tyler-christopher-tribute-natalia-livingston/" target="_blank">shared via social media</a> that not long before her former leading man and ex-boyfriend’s passing in ’23, they had gotten back in touch. “I’m so happy we reconnected after over a decade apart. <p>From 1995-97, the <em>General Hospital</em> stars who play Ned Quartermaine and Lois Cerullo were married in real life. They still get along just fine, thanks. But don’t expect lightning to strike their characters again. “I don’t know how Wally feels about this,” Sofer admitted in 2023, “but that would be pretty <a href="https://soaps.sheknows.com/general-hospital/news/696903/spoiler-will-ned-lois-get-back-together/" target="_blank">cruel to our spouses</a>. I just don’t think that that’s OK. I wouldn’t be OK with it. I would never ask my husband to be OK with me doing love scenes with my ex-husband. I just think that’s wrong in every sense of the word.”</p>

<p>Art definitely hasn’t imitated life for this pair. When Ramish made her first appearance as Metro Court hostess Trish on <em>General Hospital</em> at the 2019 Nurses Ball, the character shot down Shriner’s Scotty Baldwin when he attempted to get his flirt on. You might guess from Ramish’s enviable figure that she’s an accomplished dancer who’s kicked up her heels on Broadway (in <em>A Chorus Line</em>, no less!), in concert (backing up <em>the</em> Cher!) and on the big screen (in <em>A Night at the Roxbury</em>).</p>

<p>The <em>All My Children</em> vet who now plays Drew Cain has been happily hitched to former model Vanessa Arevalo for more than 20 years. And it took just about that long for them to finally become <em>General Hospital</em> co-stars. In 2022, the soap stunt-cast Mrs. Mathison as Mia, the executive coach who took a shot at steering a back-from-the-dead Drew in the right direction. That same year, the leading man wrote in a birthday tribute to his missus that she is “my best friend, spiritual partner, ultimate travel companion, love of my life and the most incredible mom to our kids I could ever imagine.” Aww.</p>

<p>Their romance was long over by the time they appeared on <em>General Hospital</em>, the late Emmy winner as Drew Cain and his leading lady as Margaux Dawson. But their connection had made an indelible mark on Hendrickson’s heart. When her <em>All My Children</em> and <em>Young & Restless</em> castmate passed away in 2023, she said, “We were co-stars, we were friends, we were more than friends. We were complicated at times… What never changed was my love for you.”</p>

<p>The <em>General Hospital</em> alumni who played Dr. Andre Maddox and the original Jordan Ashford revealed in early 2018 that they were an off-screen item. Just a few months later, their real-life storyline took an unfortunate twist, and they were said to be broken up. It turned out to be a temporary split. “When they say that relationships are ‘work,’ I believe what they mean is we have to be willing to ‘work’ on ourselves,” <a href="https://www.soapsindepth.com/gallery/abc/general-hospital-vinessa-antoine-anthony-montgomery-back-together-171257" target="_blank">she said on social media</a>. “We have to be willing to take a look at our past and present experiences in this life and see what needs cleaning up. We’re doing the work. And it’s worth it.”</p>

<p>Back in the late 1970s, these two were a <em>General Hospital</em> “It” couple. She was busy playing Jason Morgan’s conniving mother, Susan Moore — who wound up being the victim in one of the show’s best-ever whodunuts — and he was scrubbing in as Dr. Gary Lansing. Their 1979 marriage, sadly, didn’t last, but it did leave them with a lovely souvenir of their romance: a child. Ramsey went on to star on NBC’s <em>Generations</em> (<a href="https://soaps.sheknows.com/the-gates/news/723448/generations-first-black-soap-before-the-gates/" target="_blank">remember that soap?</a>), and Carlson passed through several more soaps.</p>

<p>These two never got to so much as attend a Nurses Ball together. But we still consider the longtime partners fellow Port Charles citizens, owing to his storied run as Julian Jerome on <em>General Hospital</em>, and her stint as vamp Elizabeth Barrington on its much-missed spinoff. Their connection, Staab told <a href="https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/icymi-rebecca-staab-interview/" target="_blank"><em>Soap Opera Digest</em></a> in 2017, was instantaneous. “We met, we had dinner, then went for a drink, then sat in my car talking until 6 in the morning. And that was pretty much it. We didn’t even really date, we were just together.”</p>

<p>These marrieds didn’t meet on <em>General Hospital</em> but back when they were co-stars in the 2020 movie <em>Roped</em>. It wasn’t until three years later that they briefly became soap castmates. Well into Josh’s run as Harrison Chase, aka the cutest singing cop this side of Frisco Jones, Lauren was tapped to play the recurring role of Janice Jo, the Ferncliff Asylum nurse who was tasked with looking after Sasha Gilmore (who wasn’t really mentally ill but the victim of a horrifying plot by her monster-in-law).</p>

<p>Back in the late 1990s, the <em>General Hospital</em> MVPs who played Brenda Barrett and Nikolas Cassadine became so serious about one another that they even got engaged. They never made it to the altar, but when Christopher passed away in 2023, it was clear that he still held a special place in the heart of his former co-star and girlfriend. “Ugh. Another loss. <p>It would have been a blast and half for the marrieds, who met while playing <em>One Life to Live</em> lovers Max and Blair, to have crossed paths again when they passed through <em>General Hospital</em>, him as the nasty Dr. Bensch and her once more as Blair. But their stints on the soap were separated by years. Maybe, since the door was left open for Martin’s ex-wife to return, she’ll have occasion to play doctor with the disgraced M.D. who sexually harassed Kiki.</p>

<p>How <em>General Hospital</em> never capitalized on the romance of these frontburner mainstays on screen, we’ll never understand. But while they were playing Britt Westbourne and Morgan Corinthos, respectively, they scarcely crossed paths in Port Charles. The fan favorites got engaged in Bali in 2015, but alas, they never exchanged “I dos.” She’s gone on to play not one but two memorable arcs on <em>Grey’s Anatomy</em> spinoff <em>Station 19</em>, and he became one of the leads on Freeform’s <em>The Fosters</em> offshoot <em>Good Trouble.</em></p>

<p>The Emmy winner met his future wife, then known as Lisa Vultaggio, when he was still scoring awards right and left as Lucky Spencer and she was playing Hannah Scott in the late 1990s. But they didn’t really connect until after he’d left the show, and she started coming to Bible-study sessions at his home. “We never dated,” he told <a href="https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/gh-alum-jonathan-jackson-reflects-on-life-as-lucky/id1363246942?i=1000516473659" target="_blank"><em>Dishing With Digest</em></a> in 2022. “It was a deep friendship.” Finally, Jackson was, in his estimation, “crazy enough” to propose, and it turned out Elisa was also having feelings for him. “I don’t know how I knew,” he marveled, “but I really knew.” The couple has been married for more than 20 years and now has three kids.</p>

<p>It wasn’t a co-star who caught Zamprogna’s eye but <em>General Hospital</em> makeup artist Leslie. The attraction “was instant,” he told <a href="https://www.soapsindepth.com/posts/abc/general-hospital-dominic-zamprogna-wife-linda-170151" target="_blank"><em>Soaps in Depth</em></a> in 2019. “One of the first things I liked about her was that she seemed so cool. She wore little skater shirts, skater sneakers… And then I just liked her personality and vibe. We got along, laughed, and liked the same things.” The actor, who plays Dante Falconeri (as if you didn’t know), married Leslie in 2009. They now have three little girls.</p>

<p>What a hoot it would have been if Leo the Blackmailing Masseur had crossed paths with Blaze’s uptight mom, Natalia. But Callahan’s stint as the <em>General Hospital</em> schemer was all the way back in the mid-1980s. He wouldn’t even meet future ex-wife LaRue until they were paired as Edmund and Maria on <em>All My Children</em> in 1993. They divorced after eight years of marriage but remained closer than close. Upon his death in 2020, LaRue issued a statement on behalf of herself and daughter Kaya. “The absence of his bigger-than-life, gregarious personality will leave a hole in our hearts forever. Words cannot express the shock and devastation we are feeling at this time. The Yankees just lost one of their greatest fans.”</p>

<p>Not long after <em>One Life to Live</em> vet Alderson crossed over her character, Starr Manning, to <em>General Hospital</em> in 2012, she started dating new castmate Duell (with whose Michael Corinthos she was paired as both Starr and Kiki Jerome). Eventually, she realized that she missed the East Coast and broke it off with Duell to return to her old stomping grounds. “Chad kinda knew it was coming,” she said on <a href="https://soaps.sheknows.com/general-hospital/news/671049/chad-duell-break-up/" target="_blank"><em>State of Mind</em></a> in 2023. “He was so understanding, more so than he needed to be, ’cause I know how much it hurt him.” In a separate episode of the vlog, Duell called the relationship “far in the past,” adding, “I hope [Alderson] feels that decisions she made were what’s best for her and that she’s genuinely happy.”</p>

<p>The Emmy winner who will now and forever be Luke Spencer in our hearts apparently hit it off in a big way with the silver-screen legend when she guest-starred on <em>General Hospital</em> in 1981 — to the point that they became an item, he admitted on <em>The Wendy Williams Show</em> in 2010. How’d they keep a thing like that a secret for so long? “Well, nobody’s asked in 20 years,” Geary told <a href="https://daytimeconfidential.com/2010/04/13/dc-interview-tony-geary-on-liz-taylor-ill-always-cherish-her" target="_blank">Daytime Confidential</a>, “so it wasn’t that hard.” Even decades later, he still had a soft spot for the movie icon. “I’ll always cherish her, and I’ll always be fond of her.”</p>
