Donation season is here! 💚Ecosystems such as #Ethereum have allowed us to create services, protocols, and products that benefit our community as a whole. 🌎We have the likes of Gitcoin, Optimism Foundation and Giveth helping fund public goods and contribute to impact. We're seeing some amazing projects building, and who are participating to get access to funding. This donation season also coincides with what feels like a crypto bull market (not to jinx it) - prices are rising and giving to the right projects is becoming even more impactful. ✨So how do we choose, when there are so many amazing public goods, worthy of support? We have a few tips you may find useful: https://lnkd.in/d_J3cBZM

Crypto and stock donations have become increasingly popular with the development of technology in today's society. These new types of currencies have a ton of perks for nonprofits and their donors. However, these benefits are not always clear to understand, giving donors the impression that these donations are more complicated than just giving cash. #Web3Foundation , #blockchainforgood , #socialinnovation , #DecentralizedFundraising , #nonprofittech I am inspired to discuss and shed light on the transformative impact of Web3 on Not-for-profit organizations. The Web3 Foundation plays a pivotal role in this narrative by offering valuable insights into the fundamentals of this technology, encompassing blockchain, smart contracts, and more.Stanford Social Innovation Review highlighted how blockchain can reduce costs and improve governance for nonprofits. Platforms like Giveth and Alice, as well as case studies from the Blockchain for Social Impact Coalition, demonstrate the practical applications of Web3 in this sector.Nonprofits looking to adopt Web3 should follow a three-step plan: awareness, buy-in, and piloting, as detailed in a guide by Giveth. Blockchain for Good offers additional resources and examples of blockchain used for social good. Giveth: A decentralized platform that uses Web3 technology for fundraising and program implementation. https://giveth.io/Alice: A blockchain-based platform that provides transparent and accountable donation tracking. https://alice.si/Blockchain for Social Impact Coalition: Offers case studies on how Web3 technologies can be used for social impact. https://lnkd.in/eYDVsJ2Y
