At the station, Jada bemoans not being able to solve Victoria’s kidnapping case before Christmas. Rafe reminds her Victoria is safe at home, so it’s not a pressing issue. However, he would like to solve one mystery right now. “Is Jada Hunter going to move in with Rafe Hernandez or not?”

Moving to the interrogation room, Jada tells Rafe how Stephanie’s break up with Chad reminded her of her break up with her husband, Bobby. She was too impulsive and moved too fast. She didn’t know Bobby as well as she thought and they started to resent each other. She hasn’t seen or heard from him since they broke up. She also ran into Eric, which gave her another reminder of what can wrong when she moves too fast.

In the Square, Sarah and Maggie confirm they’ll see each other at Doug and Julie’s later. After Sarah leaves to meet Xander, Maggie sees Alex. Konstantin continues to eavesdrop as Maggie tells Alex how disturbed she was to learn the first issue of Bella far outweighed the ad revenues. Alex contributes that to one-time startup costs. She takes Alex to task for putting resources into a dying commodity with an underqualified Theresa in charge because of their personal relationship.
