At the beach house, RJ watches Luna sleep. She awakens and he tells her he’s been awake for a while; it’s hard not to watch her. Luna tells him that last night was more than she ever could have dreamed of. They kiss.

Luna pulls away and RJ realizes she’s checking her breath. She reaches for her mints as RJ tells her she’s fine. Luna wouldn’t want to turn him off. He assures her that’s impossible and they make out some more. RJ asks how she feels. Luna tells him a lot of emotions are hitting her at the same time. She feels more of a woman, more connected to another person. “More connected than I ever knew possible. It was beautiful. You’re beautiful, RJ.” They kiss.
In the Forrester living room, Eric plunks down a sketch. Donna appears and asks if he’s hungry. He says, “Not right now,” and frowns. Ridge and Brooke come in and he questions why they’re not at the office. They tease that he can come back to the office. Brooke hedges about the issue of his health. Eric knows they’re here because Finn’s on the way with his long-term prognosis. Just then, Finn arrives, having let himself in. Eric gets right to it and asks, “What’s my long-term prognosis?”

Finn recaps that they’ve done extensive tests and reveals that Eric’s markers are right in line, “They’re better than what we’d hoped.” Everyone rejoices and Eric and Ridge exchange a look. Ridge declares that they can all breathe again, and Eric thinks it’s cause for celebration. Finn warns him to be diligent and keep on the right track. Finn relays that Bridget was apprised and was delighted. Eric needs to get back to work and be creative, but concedes that he’s going along with getting a lot of rest. Finn tells Eric his determination is what’s responsible for where he is today. Brooke recaps that Finn came through in Eric’s darkest hour. Eric tells him, “You saved my life.” He’ll live it the best way he can, “I promise you that.”
After Finn has gone back to the hospital, they all agree they’re glad he’s part of their lives. Eric admits a weight has been lifted off his shoulders; he was worried about this. Brooke, Donna, and Ridge go over how loved he is by his family. Donna decides Eric should rest, but he’s invigorated. “I want to have a party. Let’s throw a party!” Donna balks, but Eric insists they need to celebrate… tonight. Ridge backs him up. Eric says it can be small, he just wants to celebrate, not only him, but Donna. They express their love. Eric wants them all there, including Katie and RJ.

In the beach house, RJ offers to make Luna an omelette and then apologizes for not being able to take his eyes off of her. Luna could stay there forever. They kiss. Luna feels so close to him, “Closer than I ever knew possible.” Suddenly, RJ’s phone goes off. RJ recognizes the ring tone as his grandfather and picks up. Eric shares that he got a clean bill of health and invites him to the Forrester family party tonight. He wants him to bring Luna with him. “Love is everything… Don’t let her go.” RJ congratulates his granddad and disconnects. Luna is so happy to hear the good news and is surprised to learn she’s invited to the family party. RJ says he asked him if he loves her and he told him yes. The beauty and brains is a lethal convo. They express their love and kiss.

At the Forrester mansion, Eric updates everyone that RJ will bring Luna to the party. He wants her to get a raise. Donna worries they should wait to have a party, but Eric won’t hear of it. This has been a long time coming.

Once alone, Eric tells Ridge that it will be a wonderful party. Ridge tells his dad it’s nice to see him full of life and energy. Eric isn’t sure he’ll ever be 100% again, but he’s going to do the best he can. Ridge reminds him he has the one thing everyone wants, “You’re loved.” Eric will never forget that again. He went to the other side, “There was a feeling of love and peace there that I’ve never experienced any time in my life. I felt like I was truly home there.” Eric hopes to bring that feeling of love and peace here to the rest of his life.
