Monday, July 31 recap of B&B: Liam refuses to think Finn’s responsible since he’s vulnerable to Sheila, as Finn talks to the hospital while Sheila saves Kelly’s life.
Kelly Gets Swept up in the Ocean Current When Finn Takes a Call, Leaving Sheila in a Panic
At the beach, Finn tells Kelly to stay away from the water as he takes a call on his cell phone that’s breaking up.
He tells Kelly to stay there. He has to take the call.
He turns his back on her and asks if the person can hear him.
Sheila, meanwhile, watches from her tent while Finn talks about getting them to send the patient chart over and move the patient to ICU as soon as they can.
Sheila watches Kelly yell, “No!” before she falls under the current.
Sheila jumps up and rushes toward the water.
Kelly goes under and comes back up, yelling. “Help!”
Finn keeps talking to the hospital as Kelly struggles with drowning.
At the cliff house, Steffy tells Liam that Finn’s at the beach with Kelly and they’re fine. He’s capable of looking after her. Liam says he would normally agree but that was before he saw Sheila hugging him.
It’s made him concerned that none of them are safe on his watch. He doesn’t think he’s overreacting.
Steffy rolls her eyes and Liam claims he’s not trying to interfere in her marriage. She knows.
Liam doesn’t believe the hug was normal. She feels there’s an explanation.
Liam asks how long Finn will be. She has no idea but Finn knows that Liam and Kelly have a ‘date’.
He admits it kills him to be away from his girls.
He goes on about being some biological drive to protect them and flashes back to Kelly’s birth and how she looks like Liam’s mom. She calls him an incredible father.
Liam brings up Finn hugging Sheila yet again and Steffy’s tired of hearing it. It bothers her but she doesn’t want to see the video.
There’s nothing that Sheila can do that’ll get Finn to allow her back into her lives.
At Forrester, Ridge pokes at the gold gown a model, Skylar, wears while Brooke works at the table nearby, smiling as she half-watches. Ridge tells Skylar to tell Joseph he’ll send him an email as Skylar leaves.
Brooke hugs him and he tells her he’s grateful for her arms around him. “What about my lips?”
He says he’s grateful for those, too. She wishes they were in Rome still. It was so romantic.
For them, and Hope and Thomas. Ridge sighs. He has to talk to them about that.
Brooke asks if he’s happy with what he saw through the keyhole and he flashes back to searching for and finding Brooke after seeing her as his destiny through the Aventine Keyhole.
He’s very happy but says she was right in front of him the whole time. She laughs.
He tells her he wants Sheila away from his family and behind bars. She agrees.
Carter wanders in with Katie’s talking points about Sheila’s release from prison.
Katie will handle questions personally and wants them to stick to the statements. No interviews.
They agree the woman is a threat. What if they got Steffy and Finn to recant their statements? Carter says it’s too late for that.
There was almost no evidence linking Sheila to the shootings so almost everything hinged on their account.
Without new evidence, there’s nothing they can do.
Carter says they’ve upped security but Brooke and Ridge know their security is the worst and that she’ll remain a threat.
He leaves and Brooke and Ridge snuggle.
His hands are shaking thinking of Sheila and tells Brooke he loves her more than he ever has. They kiss.
He wants to get married again, which makes her laugh. She accepts his proposal.

Back at the beach, Sheila dives into the ocean and saves Kelly’s life. She carries her out to the sand and Finn finally ends his call and sees what’s going on.
He races to Sheila and Kelly and carries his stepdaughter to the blanket, covering her in a towel as she coughs.
He asks if she swallowed a lot of water and vows to listen to her lungs when they get home.
He says he’s so sorry he didn’t hear her out there. “I shouldn’t have taken my eyes off you.”
She tells him it’s okay, she saved her. Sheila grins.
Finn says Kelly’s right.
He thanks her. “Thank you. Mom. Thank you.”
Kelly didn’t know she was his mom. “Yeah she is,” he tells her and learns she wanted to see him, which is why she’s there.
Emotional, he repeats that she saved Kelly’s life.
