Finn thinks Thomas will be fine and that she did the right thing by turning him down. Hope just wanted to take her time and do things right. Her mother has been married more times than she can count and she didn’t want that for herself. He asks if there’s a chance for her and Thomas. At the memorial, Finn and Hope discuss Beth missing Douglas, who is a million miles away. Finn asks if she’s worried about the boy. Hope says his awesome dad will take care of him. Finn thinks Hope set an extraordinary example for Douglas. Hope won’t put any pressure on him or Thomas and will give them as much time as they need. Douglas asked her for that. Hope asks, “You want me to promise you something?” Finn says they’re friends and this has to do with what happened with her and Thomas and how Steffy reacted to it. He thinks she was too good for him, but what he’s saying is that their families are interconnected and they need to get along. Especially her and Steffy, who work together. Their animosity is largely due to Liam and they should be supporting each other. He asks Hope not to hold a grudge against Steffy for what happened with Thomas. He’s gone and who knows who she’ll share her life with. “Mr. Right might be waiting in the wings as we speak.” He could even be someone they know. He recalls that one look at Steffy and he just knew. “The same thing could happen for you, if you let it.”

Finn concedes he’s looking out for his wife, but also for Hope. Hope says Steffy is fortunate to have him — he’s the total package. “Your actions would never hurt Steffy or the kids.” She tells Finn she’ll consider what he’s asked of her, but Steffy did stick her nose in her business. “I do want everyone to get along too.” Finn had a feeling she’d say that. Hope feels much better this unexpected ‘doctor’s appointment’.

At Forrester, Baker brings up Deacon’s memorial for Sheila and then says he wants to go back to that night. He just got the word from the State that she was acting in self-defense last night. Once Baker’s gone, Steffy and Ridge embrace. They agree the only good thing Sheila ever did was give birth to Finn. Ridge marvels about the things she’s done, including cutting off one toe to fake her own death by bear. “Who does that?!” Steffy was so grossed out by the toe. Ridge tells his daughter they never have to worry about nine-toed Sheila ever again.

More: Who did Steffy kill?!

In the crematorium, Deacon agonizes and sing songs, “Ten toes, ten toes. That wasn’t Sheila. There were ten toes in there.” Carl reappears with water. He’s sorry that Deacon is reacting this way; sometimes it’s best if loved ones aren’t here. Deacon bellows, “There’s ten toes in there!” Carl thinks it’s best he goes home. “You seem very agitated and upset.” Deacon screams that he is very agitated and upset. Grabbing Carl by his lapels, he demands answers. “I think I’m losing my mind! I need your help, please. Please, help me!”

Carl needs Deacon to calm down first. “I can’t have you grabbing me!” Deacon lets go and Carl downs the cup of water. Deacon seethes, “I need you to tell me what is going on!” Carl looks mystified as Deacon hollers, “What is going on here, man?! Tell me!” Deacon asks, What if that wasn’t Sheila?” He knows Carl fixed up the body, but did he add an appendage. “Specifically, a right middle toe. Sheila was missing a toe.” Carl gawps, “Absolutely not! We would never do anything like that!” He gets a call and darts out. Deacon murmurs, “My eyes are playing tricks on me.” He flashes to seeing the ten toes and whispers, “Ten toes, ten toes. I don’t care what you say, I saw ten toes.”
